Knitsch Yarns

As a new small business, Knitsch Yarns needs to build a customer base without spending a lot of money. The resurgence of knitting and crochet amongst the online generation makes social media the ideal way to seek out those customers. Tash from Knitsch had been blogging before she began her business, and is active on Twitter, so she knows what she’s doing in these areas. To play to her strength of having a total passion for knitting and a cult following for Outdoor Knit, I provided some ways that she can build her brand stronger through these channels. I gave her advice for how to reach out to online knitting communities, explained the value of setting up a Facebook fan site, and some recommendations for improvements to the Knitsch site, including closer integration of Twitter and blogging. As Tash develops her business further, I’ll be on hand to answer any questions she might have – just as I’m sure she’ll be around to sell me some more amazing yarn.
