Move to Wellington

Wellington City Council previously had a dedicated section on its website for prospective immigrants called Move to Wellington. The future of the web pages was up in the air but the content needed to be updated. I conducted an audit on the site, rewriting content as necessary. I also presented them with a list of changes that could be made to improve its usability, and made suggestions for the ways that social media could be included into the content in order to make the site more vibrant and a better representative of Wellington itself. My recommendations took into consideration the financial considerations and time constraints necessary for improvements, so I ranked suggestions by priority in terms of “must-dos” and “would be nice to haves”, as well as suggesting a timeline. The Move to Wellington content was eventually shifted to a regional site however because the social media recommendations I made are applicable to mulptiple campaigns the Council is considering them for future projects.
